We are looking for a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team and take on the responsibilities of leading our Raws & Packs category within the supply chain.

About the Role

This is a leadership position that requires a deep understanding of strategic material planning, replenishment strategies, and vendor managed inventory (VMI) management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Material Planning: Define strategic material needs to ensure timely availability in the right quantity and quality.
  2. Replenishment Strategy: Develop and manage replenishment strategies and parameters to optimize material availability.
  3. VMI Standardization: Promote and support standardized Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) coverage across supply points.
  4. Procurement Collaboration: Ensure material forecasts are shared with Procurement and suppliers for synchronized material supply.
  5. MRP Planning: Update MRP plans for efficient inventory and capacity balance.
  6. Supplier Performance: Review and improve supplier performance in collaboration with the Procurement team.
  7. Phase-In/Out: Develop innovative phase-in/out strategies for materials in different projects.
  8. Material Management: Manage material and BOM transitions efficiently.
  9. Master Data Excellence: Ensure master data integrity by flagging exceptions for correction.
  10. Strategic Materials Vision: Develop a vision for strategic materials and align with stakeholders.
  11. Collaborative Planning: Ensure an efficient collaboration process with the call-off planner for timely purchase order placement.
  12. Management: Lead, manage, and supervise the team. Define team scopes and facilitate discussions between Material Planners and other stakeholders.

You will be successful in this role if you have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math, or other relevant degree.
  • Strong understanding of at least advanced planning systems and their functionality.
  • Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP / Oracle / JDE is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in materials or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • An ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn.
