Job Title: Resource Manager

Wärtsilä is seeking a skilled Resource Manager to join our team in Gas Solutions Poland. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective allocation of resources to meet business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Capacity Planning: Develop and implement resource forecasting models to ensure adequate staffing levels for upcoming projects.
  • Workload Balancing: Monitor and adjust workload distribution among team members to prevent burnout and maintain productivity levels.
  • Project Prioritization: Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize projects based on strategic objectives, resource availability, and business impact.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to resource utilization, project delivery, and client satisfaction.
  • Resource Forecasting: Analyze historical data and project requirements to forecast future resource needs accurately.
  • Compliance and Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to resource management.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine resource management processes and workflows.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with project managers, department heads, and senior leadership to provide updates on resource allocation and capacity planning.
Accountabilities:
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively assign personnel to projects based on their skills, expertise, and availability.
  • Skills Management: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the skills and capabilities of each team member.
  • Onboarding: Provide new employees with a comprehensive orientation program that includes an introduction to the company culture, policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Career Development: Support the career growth and professional development of team members.
  • Capacity Planning: Ensure the utilization rate for the team is within the target level as decided by the company.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among team members.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in resource management and workforce planning.
Requirements:
  • BSc or MSc in a relevant field, or qualified by equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable understanding of system engineering.
  • Understanding of the impact from engineering to lifecycle cost and effectiveness.
  • Practical understanding of project management and project execution.
  • Safety-focused mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Collaborative team leader with a high degree of initiative, drive, accountability, judgment, innovation, creativity, and flexibility.
  • Experience from working in multicultural teams.
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
