Senior Project Manager Job Description

At Adtran Networks sp. z o.o., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the efforts of several development teams to deliver high-quality SaaS products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Agile Project Management: Facilitate SAFe events, guide teams in executing Program Increments (PIs), and ensure successful coordination across Agile teams and Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
  • Team Coaching: Coach Agile teams to improve Agile practices and foster a culture of continuous delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of program increments, ensuring that all teams are synchronized and working towards common goals.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop, manage, and monitor project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Architects to analyze requirements and prepare features for go/no-go decisions, providing schedule estimates and resource planning.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across projects and teams, developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve team performance, tailor the release process to ecosystem requirements, track key metrics, and ensure the continuous delivery of business value.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in project management of software development projects, with hands-on experience in Agile project management, such as working as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical understanding of software development practices with the ability to challenge and guide development teams.
  • SAFe Knowledge: Deep knowledge of SAFe principles, practices, and roles; Experience in facilitating SAFe ceremonies as a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
