About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Adtran. As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the efforts of several development teams to deliver high-quality SaaS products.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate SAFe events and guide teams in executing Program Increments (PIs)
  • Coach Agile teams to improve Agile practices and foster a culture of continuous delivery and continuous improvement
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of program increments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scope
  • Develop, manage, and monitor project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scope, timelines, and budgets
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Architects to analyze requirements and prepare features for go/no-go decisions
  • Ensure and help maintain a healthy balance of features in the backlog relative to the available team capacity
  • Coordinate, oversee, and ensure the complete realization and market introduction of features assigned to a release project
  • Track progress of activities from a program perspective and provide regular reports to the Product Management team
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across projects and teams, developing effective mitigation strategies
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in project management of software development projects, with hands-on experience in Agile project management
  • Strong technical understanding of software development practices with the ability to challenge and guide development teams
  • Deep knowledge of SAFe principles, practices, and roles; Experience in facilitating SAFe ceremonies as a plus
  • Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Ability to navigate and resolve complex issues while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement, with a proven track record of enhancing processes, improving development efficiency, or elevating product quality
  • Aptitude for conflict resolution and removing obstacles that hinder team progress
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Fluent in English language
