At Billtrust, we're a leading provider of B2B order-to-cash software and digital payments solutions. As our next Business Project Lead, you'll play a critical role in helping us deliver innovative projects that drive customer satisfaction and accelerate cash flow for our clients.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team. As Business Project Lead, you'll be responsible for managing multiple simultaneous projects across various business and technology areas. Your expertise in resource management, scheduling, and quality control will ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.

With a strong focus on communication and leadership, you'll establish a common understanding of project timelines, milestones, and expectations among internal and external teams. Your ability to discuss technical and business project requirements will help drive successful project outcomes.

A key aspect of this role is managing billable hours and scope to ensure clients have a clear understanding of project impact. You'll work closely with our customer Project Managers to provide forecasts for go-live dates and hours estimates, as well as communicate progress and issues to executive stakeholders as needed.

This position requires a strategic thinker who can develop and maintain comprehensive project plans using project management software. You'll execute all stages of implementation, track and report on progress, and identify solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer goals.

You'll also be responsible for assessing project issues, monitoring change requests, and preventing unapproved requirement modifications that result in scope creep. Effective communication with third-party providers and client expectations is crucial for success in this role.

In terms of skills and qualifications, we're looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in full life-cycle management of medium to large-scale technical projects. A proven track record as a leader, independently managing complex initiatives, external customers, and internal stakeholders is essential.

Your background in IT project management, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, will enable you to analyze complex situations and determine the appropriate course of action. You should possess excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects concurrently, ensure documentation, deliverables, and signed quotes are correctly stored for internal teams.
