Job Title: Data Transformation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Transformation Specialist to join our internal data conversion team at Siemens Healthineers in Poland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex data transformation processes to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and security of our data operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data transformation processes using dbt-core.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient transformation workflows.
  • Write, test, and document SQL-based data transformation scripts.
  • Utilize Python for scripting and automation tasks related to data transformation.
  • Apply basic object-oriented programming principles to create modular and reusable code components.
  • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting data transformation processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data transformation processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in SQL and understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of dbt-core (experience with dbt projects is a plus).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes is a plus.
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Basic Python programming skills with an understanding of object-oriented principles.
