Position Summary and Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • The Senior Finance Operations Manager reports to the European Manager of Reporting and Consolidation and performs period end closing activities on a timely manner and in accordance with operational procedures, global corporate standards and local requirements.
  • This role exercises overall responsibility for General Ledger accounts.
  • The successful candidate will review and sign-off on appropriate reporting and reconciliations.
  • The Senior Finance Operations Manager will perform period end closing activities in accordance with operational procedures, corporate standards and local requirements.
  • Preparation of statistical and other local reporting is also a key aspect of this role.
  • Maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and timely responding to their queries is essential.
  • The Senior Finance Operations Manager will support external and internal auditors with their requests.
  • Identifying process improvements opportunities and actively participating in process excellence initiatives are important responsibilities.
  • Preparation of various reports and analysis on senior management requests is also required.
  • Dealing with ad-hoc operational and administrative queries is an important part of this role.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Finance/Accounting/Economy or similar is required.
  • At least 1+ year of experience within SSC environment in the related process area and/or accounting (preferable in General Ledger or R2R area) is necessary.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems is essential.
  • English is a must, French or Spanish, or other European language will be an advantage.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
