We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Global Accounting & Close team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting closing administration functions, preparing journal entries, and ensuring timely completion of journal entry closing checklists.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Accountant and Accounting Manager with the preparation of closing checklists in Blackline and accounting calendars.
  • Prepare and/or review Blackline account reconciliations and journal entries for accounts under Global Accounting & Close organization.
  • Responsible for performing and documenting internal controls outlined by Internal Audit and SOX organization.
  • Support the external audit activities ensuring the integrity and timeliness of deliverables to the auditor.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements in existing business practices and create standard operating procedures documentation for account reconciliations and journal entries performed globally.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance or Accounting role.
  • CPA or equivalent desirable.
  • Experience with SAP ERP, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, Excel macros and Pivot Tables, and Blackline highly desirable.
