Location: Hybrid model, 1x per week in Cracow office

Type of contract: B2B

Remuneration: Up to zl/h net+vat

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Service Reliability Engineer to join our team. As an SRE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our services and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust systems that meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

System Monitoring and Incident Response

  • Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of our systems and services.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and impact on customers.

Infrastructure Automation and Configuration Management

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline the deployment and configuration of infrastructure components.
  • Implement infrastructure as code principles to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability across environments.

Capacity Planning and Performance Optimizations

  • Analyze system performance metrics and trends to identify potential bottlenecks and scalability limitations.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and resource utilization through capacity planning and performance tuning.

Reliability Engineering Best Practices

  • Adhere to reliability best practices and methodologies within the organization.
  • Drive initiatives to improve system reliability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a similar computing discipline.
  • Fluent English (international environment/team).
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a focus on reliability engineering, systems administration, and/or DevOps.
  • Knowledge and experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge and experience in Agile and DevOps development practices.
  • Hands-on experience in CICD pipeline design and implementation for on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience in test automation design and implementation for front-end and back-end components.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Unix shell, or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing platforms (preferably GCP) and experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELF stack or similar.
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies and business domains.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams located remotely.

Essential Technical Skills/Certs:

  • Java, Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Python, Shell, Groovy, Terraform, Helm, Docker, Terraform.
  • Application monitoring and test automation best practices and tools.
  • Working with API and microservice technologies.
  • Databases (PostgreSQL).
  • Cloud technologies: GCP.

Nice to Have:

Additional skills/certs (an advantage)

  • Python, SPARK.
  • Columnar Database (Clickhouse).
  • Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Scrum master knowledge or certified, or PMP certified.
  • FRM or CFA certified.

Desired Experience:

Desired experience (an advantage)

  • Knowledge of Financial Risk Management in the banking or financial industry.
  • Knowledge specific to the Traded Risk domain.
  • Knowledge of OLAP and ETL.
  • Knowledge of new and emerging technologies such as Cloud, Big Data, AI, etc.
  • Knowledge of banking policies, processes, and procedures is an advantage.
