Control Systems Engineer for Rotating Machinery

At Siemens Energy, we're looking for a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Poland. As a member of our global engineering community, you'll play a crucial role in designing and specifying Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems for Industrial Applications.

About the Role

This is a full-time experienced professional position, requiring a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field, with 3+ years of experience in Rotating Equipment (Compressors, Turbines) for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specify Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems for Industrial Applications.
  • Create design drawings including control panel layout, I/O termination, control panel power distribution, instrumentation installation, motor control schematics, hardwired backup control circuits, single line diagrams.
  • Specify and calculate control valves.
  • Incorporate Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines, adapting the assigned scope to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Conduct Unit Control Panel factory acceptance tests (FAT).
  • Monitor and manage the engineering schedule and hours-budget for the assigned scope.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in discipline (Instrumentation/Controls/Electrotechnical), Diploma (State-certified technical engineer) with relevant experience shall also be considered.
  • 3 years of experience in Rotating Equipment (Compressors, Turbines) for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications.
  • Experience in Electrical Equipment Engineering shall be considered.
  • Application experience with objects-oriented Engineering Software, COMOS PT.
  • Knowledge and use of software: Teamcenter, SAP, Jira, Microsoft office.
  • Know-how of standards: API 670 (Machinery Protection System), IEC 60079 (Explosive Atmosphere Standards), IEC 61511: Functional safety - Safety instrumented systems for the process industry sector.
