Job Title: International Logistics Specialist I

The International Logistics Specialist I will play a crucial role in supporting the logistics teams, resolving ad-hoc logistics problems, and collecting and analyzing transportation data. This position will work closely with various teams, including EMEA Customer Service, Lab Operations, Clinical Operations, Commercial Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide logistics support through standard practices and processes.
  • Track shipments across different channels.
  • Identify and resolve issues as they arise in logistics.
  • Provide analysis with logistics tools and metrics.
  • Analyze, interpret, and implement key performance metrics for logistics partners.
  • Provide data analysis updates and reports to management in support of tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate cross-functionally to investigate, research, and resolve all exceptions promptly and include any necessary coordination with other departments.
  • Establish and implement corrective and preventative actions through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build rapport and maintain effective working relationships with other departments.
  • Maintain excellent interdepartmental communication.
  • Ability to lead and participate in a fast-paced team environment with aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.

  • Ability and means to travel within Europe.
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field as outlined in the essential duties; or Associates Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field as outlined in the essential duties and 2 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor's Degree; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or 4 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • Fluency in the English language (C1 or above per CEFR framework).
  • 3+ years of experience working in logistics.
  • Strong proficiency in Intra Europe and International shipments.
  • Strong proficiency in import/export customs procedures.
  • Demonstrated understanding of UPS, FedEx, and DHL systems for domestic and international shipments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a biotech manufacturing, GMP, and/or ISO13485 environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of less than load (LTL) and full truckload (FTL) carriers.
  • Experience shipping dangerous goods.
  • Experience with cold chain shipping.
  • Experience in molecular biology, genomics, translational science, and/or personalized medicine.
  • Superior technical communication skills.
  • Knowledge of other European languages (French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) and/or Japanese.
