Job Description

The Data Privacy Manager for Continental Europe plays a pivotal role in ensuring the firm's Data Privacy Framework is effectively implemented across the region.

  • Liaison and Guidance

Serve as the primary point of contact between the Data Privacy Team and regional data privacy contacts, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless implementation of the firm's Data Privacy Framework.

Policies and Feedback

Gather and provide feedback on policies, data privacy impact assessments, and global initiatives, ensuring Continental Europe's requirements are reflected.

Data Privacy Compliance

Provide essential support to Continental Europe offices in key data privacy compliance activities, including coordination of data subject requests and delivery of targeted training programs.

Record of Processing Activities

Coordinate regular audits of the Record of Processing Activities, collaborating with data privacy contacts to maintain accuracy and relevance.

Data Privacy Risk Management

Facilitate the data privacy risk management process, supporting risk mitigation activities in the region.

Vendor Management

Oversee data privacy aspects of third-party vendor management for Continental Europe.

Support to the Head of Data Privacy

Assist the Head of Data Privacy in maintaining the Intra-Group Data Transfer and Security Agreement and related documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a background in data privacy, with 3+ years of experience gained at a commercial organization. Expert knowledge and application of compliance with UK, EU, and international privacy laws are essential. Legal qualifications and privacy certifications are desirable.

The selected candidate will have proven data privacy skills and a strong ability to provide pragmatic solutions. They will need to demonstrate the ability to thrive in a team with high professional standards and a flexible, client-friendly commercial approach.
