We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Business Consultant to join our team at ERGO Technology & Services S.A. in Warsaw, Poland.

About the Role

In this key position, you will work closely with the Central Reserving P&C teams of ERGO Group and ERGO Germany, contributing to the development and execution of our quarterly closing processes.

As an Actuarial Business Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining actuarial reserving and analysis tools, analyzing data and results to ensure the quality of our financial statements, supporting the central team during the quarterly closing and forecast processes, monitoring and reporting on reserving KPIs to senior actuaries and other stakeholders, participating in constant knowledge transfer, understanding dependencies to derive appropriate analyses approaches, preparing relevant actuarial data and designing and developing automation scripts when needed.

Requirements
  • A graduate degree in mathematics, economics or a comparable quantitative field
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills, structured way of thinking, logical and concise approach, and high attention to detail
  • A high ability and willingness to understand technical as well as functional dependencies
  • An open-minded, proactive, and well-organized individual with problem-solving abilities and capable of prioritizing workload and being a team player
  • A self-motivated and self-dependent individual with a willingness to develop further
  • A high level of intercultural competency and willingness to travel internationally
  • An intriguing desire to work in an international environment
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office package
  • Experience in coding (R, VBA, SAS) and/or experience in working with databases (e.g., SQL, IBM Planning Analytics, or MS Access)
