About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead our AWS platform team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, particularly AWS, and experience in leading large-scale architecture projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Cloud Architects to evolve the Cloud Strategy and define the delivery approach for the AWS Platform.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to align technical and business processes, including the evaluation and implementation of tooling and automation to support cloud platform management.
  • Partner with Cloud Security Architects and Cloud Data Architects to inform their respective Cloud Strategies and provide subject matter expertise.
  • Engage with Product Managers to ensure HSBC's requirements are incorporated into their product roadmap and support the timely adoption of new technologies.
  • Provide escalation assistance to the Cloud Platform teams and understand appropriate Regulatory controls for Financial Institutions.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS Cloud and experience with AWS IaaS, PaaS, governance and compliance services, security services, and IAM.
  • Experience as an Architecture practitioner in a large-scale organisation and the ability to extract requirements and make sound recommendations.
  • Track record of delivering significant change that improves business effectiveness in a sustainable way.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of influencing others, negotiating effectively, and winning over stakeholders with compelling presentations.
