Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer Team Leader to join our team at Sumitomo Electric Bordnetze SE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the stable and problem-free operation of the SEBN computer network, implementing appropriate organizational solutions to guarantee data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
  • Manage the maintenance, monitoring, and technical operation of network and communication equipment, facilities, and services to ensure the highest level of security and efficient data flow.
  • Lead system-level network solution engineering efforts, designing, developing, implementing, maturing, optimizing, and modernizing the SEBN networking infrastructure.
  • Oversee the work of a subordinate network team, planning, organizing, executing, controlling, training, and motivating team members.
  • Collaborate with other IT service centers across the SEBN group.

Requirements:

  • University education.
  • Experience in the analysis and design of computer network systems, as well as leading and implementing projects for LAN and WAN.
  • Knowledge of information systems security technologies and issues.
  • Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN/WiFi technologies, VPN, Cisco-based solutions (routing/switching), NG Firewall systems - Fortinet/Sophos UTM.
  • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge of German will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a team and motivate team members to achieve goals.
  • Ability to think analytically, solve problems, and make decisions in a dynamic environment.
