Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and processing large datasets, building ETL pipelines, and collaborating with development and monitoring teams to ensure data quality and governance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Source Data Management: Independently assemble, test, and evaluate source data for robustness and fitness for purpose.
  • Data Comprehension: Learn and comprehend source systems, data models, and data standards.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with model development and monitoring teams to resolve data quality issues, collaborate with project teams on new data acquisitions or assets, and ensure data governance and compliance.
  • ETL Pipelines: Build ETL pipelines to serve data to the platform.
  • Data Architecture: Collaborate on designing data architecture, application, and business process architecture roadmaps to support future environments.
  • Communication: Prepare and disseminate effective materials to key business stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships across key functional teams.
  • Prioritization: Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Team Management Experience: Experience managing teams or pods.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant Experience: Solid and relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a mathematical subject; Master's degree preferred.
  • Programming Knowledge: Good knowledge of programming tools, with knowledge of at least one of the following: SAS, Python, PySpark, SQL, or Hadoop Big Data.
  • Business Analysis: Experience in business analysis, including requirements gathering and specification.
  • Data Architecture Knowledge: Ability to understand complex data architecture.
  • Soft Skills: Good organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work under time pressure.
  • Tool Knowledge: Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Monday.com.
