Job Summary

The Operational Risk Officer is a strategic professional responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks that could impact the organization's performance and effectiveness. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational risk policies, procedures, and controls to minimize losses from internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement, providing recommendations to senior stakeholders and business partners.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop and maintain relationships, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and report on operational risk metrics, providing insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks, applying this knowledge to inform risk management strategies.
Requirements
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in operational risk management or a related field.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial markets and instruments.
  • Bachelor's/University degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
