Accounts Receivable Specialist with Spanish Language Skills

Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Motorola Solutions is responsible for maximizing cash collections by enforcing payment terms and collecting past due receivables. This role reports to the Receivables Team Lead and requires a strong understanding of financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
- Maintain working relationships with Motorola customers and recognize risks associated with managed accounts.
- Monitor account activity and contact customers regarding late payments.
- Determine the appropriate method for collecting payment against delinquent accounts and resolve customer disputes.
- Make recommendations regarding the use of third-party assistance to collect debts.
- Assist credit analysts in setting credit limits and participate in the product return process.
- Review delinquent accounts with upper management and provide regular collection forecast reports to finance.
- Assist in write-offs, legal claims, and monitor customer bankruptcy proceedings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
- Excellent English and Spanish language skills.
- 1-3 years of experience in the collection/customer service function in a multinational environment.
- Ability to work US hours (mixed shift) and support team efforts as a team member.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
