Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist at Motorola Solutions plays a crucial role in maximizing cash collections by enforcing payment terms and collecting past due receivables. This position reports to the Receivables Team Lead and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to maintain working relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established policies, procedures, and approval authorities to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain working relationships with Motorola customers and recognize risks associated with managed accounts in a proactive manner.
  • Monitor activity of accounts portfolio and contact customers regarding late payments.
  • Determine the appropriate method to collect payment against delinquent accounts and resolve customer disputes pertaining to billing and collection.
  • Make recommendations regarding the use of 3rd party assistance to collect debts.
  • Assist credit analysts in setting credit limits and may also assist in the product return process.
  • Review delinquent accounts with upper management.
  • Provide regular collection forecast reports to finance.
  • Assist in write-offs, legal claims, and monitor customer bankruptcy proceedings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economy, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Excellent English and Spanish skills.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the collection/customer service function in a multinational environment.
  • Willingness to work US hours (mixed shift).
  • Demonstrated ability to support team efforts as a team member.
  • Ability to develop professional expertise.
  • Ability to enforce payment terms and collect money from customers.
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
