Job Description

As a Procurement Category Manager: Business Services, you will be responsible for setting long-term commercial strategic direction for assigned Business Services categories. You will influence business and wider category stakeholders, develop relationships with senior leadership, and build a supply base to meet the changing requirements of the category.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost reductions and improve supplier relationships.
  • Lead supplier negotiations to establish strategic contractual relationships with limited risk.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on complex purchasing, technical, legal, and contractual issues.
  • Define governance around best practices and purchasing policies.
  • Manage category spend, savings forecasting, and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Business.
  • 5+ years of Procurement Category Management or equivalent experience.
  • Business acumen and experience is a plus.
  • Strong experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, global business.
  • Experience running RFx processes.
  • Contract negotiations without much Legal guidance.
  • Ability to support large/complex supplier deals, potentially including Hardware, Software, and Services integrated solutions.
  • Ability to interact with and present to VP Levels.
  • Core analytic skills to independently dive into an unclear area and make sense of it.
  • Supplier and Customer oriented skills.
