About This Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Motorola Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving strategic sourcing and spend optimization initiatives across various categories.

Job Summary:

  • Develop and execute category strategies that align with business objectives and drive cost savings
  • Lead cross-functional teams in procurement activities, including RFx processes, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions
  • Maintain accurate spend analysis and tracking, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and achieving results
Key Responsibilities

As a Procurement Category Manager, you will:

  • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Manage the negotiation of contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms
  • Monitor and report on category performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in procurement and category management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement category management or a related field
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Experience with RFx processes, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management
