An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a skilled Procurement Manager to join our team at Kongsberg Maritime.

As a key member of our Indirect Procurement Team, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives and delivering cost savings across the organization.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement global supplier strategies to drive long-term productivity improvements within indirect purchasing activities.
  • Maintain indirect purchasing sourcing and resourcing activities for designated purchasing categories.
  • Lead and coordinate supplier relationships and strategies within the designated external buyer supply chain.
  • Budget planning and adherence for designated indirect purchasing categories.
  • Utilize S2P systems and other purchasing tools to maximize internal transactional efficiency and minimize total costs.
  • Contribute to improvement and share best practices across supply chain and purchasing teams.
  • Provide recommendations on sourcing decisions.
  • Ensure that all purchase documents are issued and maintained as appropriate, including customer and governmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Higher education degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management in an international environment, preferably in indirect procurement.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating agreements with services suppliers.
  • Possess understanding of cost drivers and total cost of acquisition impact regarding indirect purchasing processes.
  • Proven track record of sourcing, including LCC sourcing.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate globally, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of E-procurement software solutions is an asset.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and internationally.
