About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solar Project Engineer to join our Renewables team in Germany, Poland, and Hungary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design utility scale ground-mounted solar PV projects from conception to planning submission status.
  • Develop technical designs using industry-standard software, progressing from preliminary to detail level as projects mature.
  • Define technical parameters and specifications for main components.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry codes and standards, incorporating feedback from Construction and Operations.
  • Support post-construction documentation preparation.
  • Provide expertise during project development and implementation, both remotely and on-site.
  • Conduct initial yield assessments of potential solar sites.
  • Assist with technical due diligence if needed.
  • Foster optimal collaboration within Renewables, encompassing developers, engineers, project managers, contract managers, offtake managers, market analysts, strategy analysts, and external partners.

Ideal Candidate

  • University degree in Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in Renewables.
  • Proven track record in business transformation or operational excellence.
  • Creative and open-minded individual with a good sense of humor.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of international work experience and appreciation of cultural differences.
  • Preferred primary office location in Düsseldorf or Berlin, but other Uniper locations are feasible as well. The role can also be predominantly home office based.
  • Business fluency in English.
