Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Store Manager at Salomon, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in implementing their strategy, ensuring the daily tasks are completed, and overseeing all the expertise available in-store. This role is responsible, together with the Store Manager, for achieving overall targets.

Key Tasks

  • Achieving daily and weekly sales goals.
  • Checking brand standards are properly followed.
  • Delivering operational excellence through effectively leading a high-performing team.
  • Providing the highest level of customer experience and delivering the brand vision, supporting and mentoring the Sales Associates with regards to their development Programs.
  • You are the Training Ambassador making sure all the team is trained.
  • Customer service: instilling the importance of customer service in team members, empowering co-workers to use their best judgment in all customer service matters, promoting, monitoring, and following up with the team on quality service through training.
  • Acting as a positive role model, leadership, development, and communication: motivating and inspiring the team by delivering a compelling vision and purpose, which encompasses the brand core competencies and behaviors.
  • Managing people, store operations, and store environment to achieve sales, service, organization, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals and maintain operational standards.
  • Maintaining an open and positive relationship with the Store Manager and collaborating and partnering with all store teammates.
  • Inspiring employees so that each person contributes to the productivity of the store.
  • Operations: scheduling regular meetings with the store teams to encourage collaboration and alignment, ensuring the company policy and procedures are communicated in a timely manner and adhered to accordingly.
  • Assisting the Store Manager to meet or exceed budgeted store contribution.
  • Monitoring a loss prevention program to protect the company's inventory and assets.
  • Training: supporting the execution of new hire training, product knowledge, and selling tools, supporting staff development, and acting as the first point of contact for new employees going through the onboarding process.
  • Marketing/Events: supporting, developing, and working with the Store Manager and Community Marketing Expert to execute store events that support the company mission, drive traffic, and increase community involvement.
  • Completing store marketing recap summaries that include goals, pictures, KPIs, and most importantly key learnings and takeaways from the events.
  • Participating and encouraging all staff to participate in store events both in-store and offsite.
  • Ensuring that the store is utilizing local social media in alignment with company expectations.
  • Merchandising and inventory: coordinating high merchandising standards that reflect the pursuit of perfection in our brands.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
