Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Contract Specialist to join our team at Verisk, a leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry. As a key member of our procurement operation, you will play a critical role in evaluating, revising, negotiating, and executing contracts for the purchase of goods and services.

About the Role

In this position, you will collaborate closely with category managers and stakeholders to manage supplier contracts throughout their lifecycle. You will maintain records of established contracts and those in progress in our company repository system. Your responsibilities will include supporting the operation team in processing contracts for execution, revising contracts for products and services, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure contracts adhere to our contract management policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the operation team in processing contracts for execution
  • Revised contracts for products and services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure contracts adhere to our contract management policies and procedures
  • Identify key contract terms and conditions
  • Work with other departments, including Legal, Compliance, Security, and Third-Party Risk, on matters requiring business input or escalation
  • Perform a contract review, including terms and conditions, independently and in accordance with the rules of engagement
  • Negotiate to obtain best service, products, and price

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need to have experience in managing contract reviews and negotiating contract value, terms, and conditions. You should be familiar with contract management workflow and systems. Strong written comprehension and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build effective relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders. You should also possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask in an agile and fast-paced environment.
