Tasks

  • We seek an expert to design, develop, and maintain user-friendly web interfaces in JavaScript/React/Apollo, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • The ideal candidate will construct and implement GraphQL schema, driving data efficiency and scalability.
  • Developing and maintaining backend systems with Node.js is a critical aspect of this role, requiring expertise in cloud-native architectures.
  • This position involves designing and optimizing SQL database schemas and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval, leveraging knowledge of database management systems.
  • We require a skilled professional to contribute code to other cloud-based services written in Python, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • A robust suite of tests must be developed to ensure the functionality and integrity of the applications, guaranteeing high-quality results.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with our global team is essential, as we strive to understand user needs and translate them into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
  • Working closely with scientists, this expert will build tools that aid groundbreaking biology research, pushing the boundaries of human knowledge.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of constructing quality, user-friendly tools in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • At least 5 years of experience with React and Python, combined with SQL expertise, is necessary for success.
  • English language proficiency at B2 level or higher is required.
  • Experience working on cloud-native architectures in public clouds (ideally AWS) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills are vital for effective collaboration with a diverse team of professionals.
  • The ability to quickly acquire new technologies and programming languages is crucial for this role.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with modern CI/CD platforms, GitLab, or similar, is advantageous.
  • Biological data and process experience is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of cell biology would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience working with scientists or in a research environment is advantageous.
