At Glovo, we're revolutionizing the way people connect with their everyday needs. As a Senior Accountant, you'll be part of our finance team, responsible for maintaining the company's accounting books, preparing statutory financial statements, and implementing closing procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the company's accounting books according to statutory regulations.
  • Prepare statutory financial statements.
  • Monthly reporting of accounting data to the group.
  • Implement and improve closing procedures.
  • Create reports for group reporting purposes.
  • Perform calculations for transformations between the Accounting Act and IFRS.
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures.
  • Lead projects related to the implementation and testing of financial software.
  • Conduct tax settlements with the support of a tax advisor.
  • Follow changes in company policy, tax regulations, and legislation.
  • Communicate with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
  • Collaborate with other units within the Glovo group.
  • Manage a team under your supervision.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in an accounting services company or as an accountant.
  • A higher education degree in accounting, economics, or related fields.
  • Knowledge in the field of accounting, including CIT and VAT taxes.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, such as Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience in implementing IT solutions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in both English and Polish at a minimum of B2 level.
  • Familiarity with Comarch Optima and LucaNet systems, which will be considered an additional asset.
  • Professional accountancy qualification, e.g., ACCA, is an advantage.
