Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Assistant Procurement Manager - Packaging to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for procuring packaging materials that meet our business objectives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective procurement strategies that drive cost savings and value creation.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive procurement plans for packaging materials.
- Promote a culture of sustainability throughout our supply chain by ensuring compliance with Unilever standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of packaging materials.
- Work closely with R&D and technical experts to integrate technical and commercial programs.
- Support the development of buying strategies that align with business needs and priorities.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and growth through strategic partnerships with suppliers.
- Lead and support negotiations with suppliers to achieve optimal results.
- Execute contract negotiations, leveraging market insights and digital tools to inform decision-making.
- Monitor market conditions and provide price forecasting to enable accurate budgeting and cash forecasting.
- Escalate service and quality issues involving stakeholders as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- University degree or relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably within FMCG.
- Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and leading negotiations.
- Familiarity with cost modeling and contracting strategies.
- Basic understanding of finance principles.
