About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Officer to join our team in Asia, with a focus on supporting the Australia Pacific Risk function within Aon. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of risk-based decisions for the APAC business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in Aon Risk Committees and Working Groups, including the Global Risk Committee and Asia-Pacific Risk Committee.
  • Enhance the governance model for risk management in Aon Asia-Pacific, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
  • Lead the Asia-Pacific risk agenda in consultation with the Asia-Pacific COO and Asia-Pacific RC.
  • Execute on agreed global and regional risk strategies, including the ERM framework.
  • Provide oversight of systems and controls, ensuring risks are owned by respective business areas.
  • Manage internal audit report remediation with subregional COOs.
  • Identify root causes of risk and compliance failures with Aon Law & Compliance and relevant business colleagues.
  • Measure and report on risk culture in Asia-Pacific.
  • Make risk information available for informed decision-making.
  • Encourage Asia-Pacific senior leadership to communicate the importance of managing risk.
  • Regularly report on risk profiles and ERM analyses.

  • Deep understanding of risk management principles and effective risk management.
  • Ability to challenge decisions that may affect the risk profile of an Aon business.
  • Good and sound judgment regarding key risks, including those identified in ERM analyses.
  • Ability to influence others and communicate complex matters clearly.
