Job Summary

As a key member of the OEC team, the Financial Operations Assistant will play a vital role in supporting senior staff and management in meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines. This position will be responsible for administering finance-related programs, including accounts receivable and billing reports, on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and submit customer invoices, coding and posting payments, and coordinating deposit activities.
  • Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Generate invoices and account statements, gathering and organizing billing templates, SOWs, and POs.
  • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues, updating client accounts and maintaining other accounts receivable files and records.
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status, developing and maintaining working knowledge of all procedures, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide clerical support to the department and assist with special projects and tasks as requested.
  • Act as a backup for other department team members during vacations and other absences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an administrative/accounting support capacity, including prior exposure to a wide range of general accounting, bookkeeping, and clerical duties.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work in a proactive manner, excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative and team-oriented environment, with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
