Product Owner - Digital Product Development

Baxter is revolutionizing kidney care and other vital organ support with the launch of Vantive, a new company built on our legacy. As a Product Owner - Digital Product Development, you will play a key role in defining and supporting the building of valuable, feasible, viable, and usable products that meet customer needs over the lifecycle of the product.

Responsibilities
  • Define product roadmaps and goals for assigned products, communicating and building consensus with Product Managers and Business Relationship Managers.
  • Plan product implementation to maximize value, accountable for prototypes, flow diagrams, use case documents, story maps, and mockups.
  • Identify potential technology options and complete IT cost assessments with support from IT architecture resources.
  • Define features and prioritize initiatives with Product Managers to ensure a constant flow of value creation.
  • Deliver features as prioritized by Product Managers, advising on value versus effort and fit to the roadmap.
  • Play a lead role in process governance, harmonizing processes and system solutions whenever possible.
  • Innovate through research and prototyping, driving the development and adoption of next-generation technologies and business practices.
  • Work with technical architects and engineers to define technical solutions and enablers in line with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Integrate upcoming enabler work into the backlog with Product Managers.
  • Agree on accepted story completion with the team.
  • Continuously improve and scale products using product strategies, leveraging survey results, user interviews, and data/analytics.
  • Be a change champion for new ways of working, participating in team demos and retrospectives.
  • Report progress and status in terms of business and customer outcomes.
  • Support internal change management teams and external marketing teams to drive adoption and deliver products to market.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with greater than 5 years of experience in digital/technical product ownership.
  • Prior experience with commercial products such as customer relationship management, marketing, quoting/contracting, and pricing.
  • Established commercial business acumen.
  • Technical aptitude to convey and collaborate around the development of desired functionality, particularly with cloud applications.
  • Prior experience or ability to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles.
  • Strong understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture.
  • Understanding of SAFe (Agile at scale) approach is a plus.
  • Skills in prototyping and rapid ideation/discovery.
  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability and maturity to manage senior-level stakeholders globally.
  • Experience in working in regulated environments (i.e., privacy/compliance).
  • Design thinking awareness and prior usage strongly preferred.
