Product Owner - Kidney Care Solutions

Baxter is embarking on a transformative journey to separate its ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company, Vantive. As a Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in defining and supporting the development of valuable, feasible, viable, and usable products that meet customer needs throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define product roadmaps for assigned products, working closely with customers, Product Managers, and Business Relationship Managers.
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders and SMEs to identify technology solutions that enable business processes, drive business value, and improve KPIs.
  • Develop prototypes, flow diagrams, use case documents, story maps, and mockups to visualize and describe product features.
  • Identify potential technology options and complete IT cost assessments, working with IT architecture resources as needed.
  • Work with Product Managers to prioritize features and ensure a constant flow of value creation.
  • Deliver features as prioritized by Product Managers, providing advisement on value versus effort and fit to the roadmap.
  • Play a lead role in process governance, harmonizing processes and system solutions whenever possible.
  • Drive innovation through research and prototyping, developing next-generation technologies and business practices.
  • Work with technical architects and engineers to define technical solutions and enablers.
  • Integrate upcoming enabler work, such as architecture, data privacy, security, regulatory, and compliance, into the backlog.
  • Work with the team to agree on accepted story completion.
  • Continuously improve and scale products, leveraging survey results, user interviews, data/analytics, and insights.
  • Be a change champion for new ways of working.
  • Participate in team demos and retrospectives.
  • Report progress and status in terms of business and customer outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with greater than 5 years of experience in digital/technical product ownership.
  • Prior experience with commercial products, such as customer relationship management, marketing, quoting/contracting, and pricing.
  • Established commercial business acumen.
  • Technical aptitude to convey and collaborate around the development of desired functionality, particularly with cloud applications.
  • Prior experience or ability to learn technical development architecture and configuration principles.
  • Strong understanding and working experience with Agile approach and culture.
  • Understanding of SAFe (Agile at scale) approach is a plus.
  • Skills in prototyping and rapid ideation/discovery.
  • Ability to work with multiple geographies in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability and maturity to manage senior-level stakeholders globally.
  • Experience in working in regulated environments (i.e., privacy/compliance).
  • Design thinking awareness and prior usage strongly preferred.
