About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Monks. This role will be responsible for implementing and improving administrative and technical controls of our Information Security Management System.

Job Description

This position involves understanding the risk assessment process, detecting new threats, contributing to action plan development, and promoting control implementation and evolution. The successful candidate will cover compliance activities, third-party risk assessments, management of client requirements, internal awareness, and technical control evaluation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate compliance status of processes and technology implementations and plan actions to align with the security framework.
  • Identify information security risks in the technical environment, relationships with third parties, or any component of our context.
  • Understand technical and administrative controls in areas such as networking, operations, access management, SSDLC, cloud security, end-point protection, physical security, third-party risk assessment, organizational security, and legal compliance.
  • Act as a point of contact for third-party questions regarding information security.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Main Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related positions.
  • Solid knowledge of security on networking, cloud, infrastructure configuration, end-point protection, and SDLC.
  • Knowledge of standards ISO 27001/2, SOC2, NIST-800.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • +2 years of experience in Security Risk Management, Information Security, Security Controls, or Security/IT Audit.
  • Information Security Certification (e.g., CISSP, Comptia Sec, CISM, CRISC, etc).
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range between $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
