About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our commercial IT organization, which is an area that benefits from an increased focus and activity.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be supporting the continuous rollout and optimization of our global Data Foundation footprint in Microsoft Azure and other platforms.

The Role Will Include:

  • Executing deliverables in the agile team, including Daily Scrums
  • Providing technical expertise and support in case of system issues coming from projects
  • Providing consulting and advice on how to leverage existing system functionality in our processes
  • Safeguarding development standards
  • Developing scalable solutions that are up to date with the newest technologies
  • Being a sparring partner for other colleagues and Architect to discuss complex problems

Who Are You?

You will work with Data Foundation developers and scientists, cooperating often with other teams inside and outside of Commercial Train.

Together, you will develop and deliver solutions in rollouts, projects, and high-complexity demands.

To succeed, we imagine you can tick off the following areas:

  • Experience with cloud-based services and technologies (Microsoft Azure, Databricks)
  • Working knowledge of writing SQL and working with both relational and no-SQL databases
  • Proficiency in Python, R, Scala, or another programming language
  • Proficiency in working with Azure DevOps, Git, and branching strategies
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques and data pipeline technologies

Additionally, it would be advantageous if you possess:

  • Experience in working with Agile methodology
  • Experience within FMCG and Sales processes
