We are seeking an exceptional leader with expertise in robotics to drive innovation in computer vision at Grid Dynamics Poland Sp. z o.o.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead a team of researchers and engineers, delivering cutting-edge solutions in computer vision and robotics.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of experts in computer vision and robotics to develop innovative products and solutions.
  • Experiment with state-of-the-art methods in object detection, scene reconstruction, and motion planning.
  • Train neural networks on in-house domain-specific datasets.
  • Analyze experimental results to improve model properties such as robustness, sample-efficiency, accuracy, and other metrics.
  • Design and implement domain-specific benchmarks, optimize the performance of neural networks and end-to-end systems.
  • Develop robotic applications combining perception and motion planning models.
  • Enhance datasets for comprehensive training in manipulation and streamline data review, cleaning, and labeling processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience with Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with deep neural network training using leading frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
  • Solid fundamentals and experience in computer vision (linear algebra, object detection, structure from motion, vision-language models).
  • Experience in robotics or edge computing is a plus; evidence of practical experience and projects involving scene reconstruction, depth estimation, calibration, or deployment on edge devices.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team of AI/ML engineers.
  • Published research in computer vision and robotics demonstrating a deep understanding and contribution to the field.
