About this role

As a Cloud Serverless Deployment Specialist, you will play a key part in troubleshooting technical challenges for customers with a mix of debugging, networking, system administration, documentation updating, and coding/scripting.

We are looking for an expert who can make our products easier to adopt and use by improving the product, tools, processes, and documentation.

In this position, you will help drive business growth of Google Cloud by recognizing and advocating for customer challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers on their production Serverless deployments to resolve issues and achieve product readiness, availability, and scale.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of Serverless product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause for customer-reported issues, developing tools, and faster diagnosis.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud.
  • Work as part of a team of engineers/consultants ensuring 24-hour customer support. This may require working non-standard hours/shifts and weekends.
  • Understand customer needs, advocate for them with internal teams, including Product and Engineering teams, to find ways to improve the product, and drive production.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience coding in a general purpose language or system design, troubleshooting/advocating for customers' needs, and triaging technical issues.
  • 2 years of experience with two or more of the following: Web Tech, Data/Big Data, Systems Admin, Machine Learning, Networking, Kubernetes, Oracle, SAP.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English as this is a customer-facing role requiring interactions in English with local stakeholders.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $140,000-$180,000 based on US national averages and considering factors like location, experience, and qualifications.
