HedgeServ is a leading global fund administrator with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Client Onboarding Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition of new clients onto our platform, working closely with the Manager, Director, and Managing Director to deliver high-quality results.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or business, with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in a Hedge Fund Administration Firm. They will possess excellent reconciliation skills, with the ability to problem solve and resolve breaks. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively both within a team structure and independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with new clients to ensure all necessary information is received to begin the initial take-on process in a timely manner
  • Load all listed open tax lots into our system and liaise with the Middle Office Department to ensure all OTC open tax lots are loaded onto our system along with the daily trades that will be loaded once the initial positions are reconciled
  • Reconcile back to the prior administrator's books and records and account for any differences that may occur between the prior administrator's system and the HedgeServ in-house NAV systems at take-on date
  • Liaise with the HedgeServ NAV team during the parallel period where both the previous administrator and HedgeServ are both producing a NAV
  • Review work and support Analysts in preparing reconciliations

Requirements

  • Accounting, Finance, or Business Degree
  • Reconciliation skills with ability to problem solve and to resolve breaks
  • Ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure or independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • IT Literate
  • Good initiative tempered with identifying when escalation is required
