Project Overview

The goal of this project is to create a cutting-edge library website from scratch, catering to the needs of both library staff and patrons. This innovative platform will revolutionize the way users discover and access relevant content, resources, and services, supporting their education, research, and teaching endeavors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement advanced search functionalities, including semantic search, to enhance discoverability and accessibility of library materials.
  • Develop a user-friendly interface that meets the needs of both library staff and patrons.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of features and functionalities.
  • Conduct unit testing and ensure high-quality code.
  • Work with AWS to deploy and manage the website.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Python and knowledge of JavaScript and React.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to use Git or SVN version control system.
  • Unit testing skills.
  • AWS experience.
