Accountant with French - Join Volvo Group's Finance Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Accountant with proficiency in French to join our Finance Team. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing you to work from our office 4 days a month and remotely for the remainder.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Accounts Payable, strong knowledge of SAP, and excellent French language skills. As a global leader in sustainable transportation solutions, we are dedicated to driving prosperity through transport solutions and infrastructure that improve quality of life for people everywhere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and process accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices, ensuring correct coding and approval.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with French-speaking vendors and internal stakeholders via telephone/e-mail.
  • Utilize SAP for processing and reporting accounts payable transactions.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function (Lean mindset).
  • Handling vendor inquiries and reconciling vendor statements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional Teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Fluency in French, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP is essential.
  • Passion for precision, excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a Team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities in order to work with international Teams.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks, as well as thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
