About the Role

At HITACHI ENERGY POLAND SP. Z O.O., we are seeking a skilled R&D Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of breakthrough technologies that change the way the world works.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the full design cycle of next-generation HVDC control and protection systems based on FPGA modules from world-class vendors. Scouting applicable solutions based on project requirements, having a real impact on requirements and final solutions. Develop, simulate, and validate using VHDL + ModelSim + VUnit. Contribute to continuous integration processes. Prototyping and testing on real HW in modern laboratories. Cooperate with international teams under Agile/SAFe methodology.

Requirements

Master's degree in Electronics/Control Engineering or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in FPGA/ASIC design & simulation in VHDL/(and/or Verilog). Good understanding of synchronous design, time constraining, and static timing analysis. Experience with laboratory equipment, prototyping, and testing. Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
