Role Overview:
The Senior Manager, External Communications EMEA will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Ball brand's reputation and brand by managing external communications campaigns, topics, and issues for Beverage Packaging in EMEA region and PHC division globally.
This position will plan and drive media relations/public relations activities, create and manage relevant social media and owned content initiatives to support the company's vision and business objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Media Relations and Public Relations:
Focusing on media relations and general news release development, marketing initiatives, branding, and advertising, website content, and other public relations activities; playing a key role in the creation and delivery of content.
Crisis Prevention and Management:
Evaluating potential risks and developing strategies to prevent or mitigate crises that may impact the company's reputation.
Agency Management:
Effective deployment and management of PR agencies network, assigning activities to external partners, directing, assigning, and/or collaborating with agencies across the globe.
Content Creation:
Crafting internal and client correspondence, communications plans, press materials, new business proposals, and other written content that supports the company's goals.
Relationship Building:
Developing and fostering relationships company-wide and managing projects with colleagues at all levels and across all regions and businesses to achieve Company objectives.
Budget Management:
Managing budgets, agencies, and suppliers to ensure the most cost-effective resource allocation to support the corporate communication function.
Requirements:
Experience:
Job-related external communications experience for minimum 10-12 years.
Languages:
Proficiency in English – proven by relevant certification corresponding with C2 Proficiency.
Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge of public relations or corporate communications practices, excellent writing skills, ability to generate creative ideas, analyze and communicate complex information.
Tools and Software:
Microsoft SharePoint, HTML, graphic design, photo editing, and video production/editing would be an advantage (not obligatory).
