Description

At Hitachi Energy Poland Sp. z o.o., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior R&D Digital Electronics Engineer to join our team in Krakow. As a key member of our Digital HW Electronics team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge technologies for our HVDC control and protection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of hardware platform development for HVDC control and protection systems, from idea to release and sustaining production.
  • Design and develop robust hardware platforms, including analogue/digital electronics, high-speed optoelectronics, gate drivers, and power electronics.
  • Work with simulations, parts selection, schematics, and layout to ensure optimal design and performance.
  • Develop and implement testing infrastructure and environment to validate and test hardware platforms.
  • Prepare and manage technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Participate in technical reviews and project planning to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Practical knowledge of hardware electronics design process and tools, including SPICE, Altium, PADS, and Zuken CADSTAR.
  • Experience with laboratory test and measurement equipment and circuit boards testing and reworking.
  • Strong commitment to SAFe (Agile) work practices and dedication to follow all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of design reliability methodologies, including DFMEA and MTBF.
  • Awareness of relevant industry standards and methodologies.
  • English language proficiency at least Intermediate/B2/Technical communication level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in analog signal processing, discrete elements design, power integrity, and management.
  • Familiarity with R&D process and tools, management of risk and IP.
  • Root Cause Analysis methods.
  • Experience in project management.
