Job Title: Portfolio Accounting Manager

HedgeServ is a leading global fund administrator with a strong presence in the financial industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Accounting Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the reconciliations service delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of daily operational deliverables (Trade, Cash and Portfolio reconciliations).
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, working closely with Portfolio and Fund Accounting Directors to ensure consistency of service.
  • Lead a team of up to 10 staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the team operates within the clearly defined and documented control environment.
  • Review daily operational deliverables, resolving fund accounting enquiries escalated by Supervisor or Administrator.
  • Investigate accounting implications of new products and manage client initialization and transition.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of portfolio accounting training and manage portfolio accounting recruitment, training and performance evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments within HedgeServ.
Requirements:
  • 6 years' experience working in a Hedge Fund Administration Firm, with at least 1 year at Assistant Manager Level.
  • Accounting, Finance, Legal or Business Degree.
  • Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA), if not already started, part qualified or qualified.
  • IT Literate.
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure or independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good initiative coupled with the ability to identify when escalation is required.
  • Reliable, flexible and dependable.
  • Ability to positively influence team morale.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Take ownership of designated tasks.
  • Act as a role model for HedgeServ.
