We are seeking an experienced Chief Enterprise Architect to lead our U.S. IT Architecture team, focusing on establishing design governance and promoting Agile and DevOps ways of working.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Spearheading the development of enterprise architecture blueprints, ensuring alignment with HSBC Technology strategies and providing Design Authority accountability for major change initiatives.
  • Collaborating with global and regional architects to develop Country and Regional roadmaps and plans for successive transformation.
  • Consulting on new best practices, processes, operating models, techniques, products, services, technologies, and standards where needed against identified use cases via governance bodies.
  • Managing and governing HSBC U.S. Business service offerings, acting as a liaison between stakeholders responsible for delivery of solutions using Agile method.
  • Staying up-to-date with technology trends and advising business/CIO/CTOs/Chief Architect and the business about potential benefits/impacts.
  • Supporting Innovation and technology (AI/ML, Cloud, API, etc.) Community of Practices adoption and leading the architecture community in the United States by example.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with technology and business partners around the world, understanding their needs, and creating and building the right solution.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • A University graduate degree in Computer Science/IT-related field (preferred but not necessary), preferably with a major in Software/System engineering or relevant working experience in the field.
  • Seasoned experience in building architecture blueprints and roadmaps on various detail levels, proven by long Enterprise Architect experience.
  • Experience in digital and broader architectural transformations, applying solutions from experience in decomposing monolithic solutions and methods to manage technical debt.
  • Knowledge and understanding of enterprise-level software development and API-based integration, building scaled solutions with consideration of quality attributes.
  • Capability to influence and champion new ideas and technical direction within the organization.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity across geographies, markets, products, and services, delivering clear decisions and direction.
  • Excellent stakeholder management level, with capability of delivering highly effective cross-functional leadership across diverse populations, regions, and domains.

We offer a competitive salary, including an estimated $175,000 - $225,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional bonuses, multisport card, private medical care, life insurance, one-time reimbursement of home office set-up, corporate parties & events, CSR initiatives, nursery discounts, financial support with trainings and education, social fund, and flexible working hours.
