Job Summary

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an Italian restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to motivate and train staff to achieve excellent results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage restaurant staff, including servers, hosts, and kitchen personnel
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and purchasing of supplies and equipment
  • Monitor and control labor costs, expenses, and revenue
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus and ensure high-quality food preparation
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree in hospitality, food service management, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in an Italian restaurant
  • Proven track record of success in improving customer satisfaction and increasing revenue
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards, as well as local, state, and federal liquor laws
