Financial Controller

**Job Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Office Accountant to join our team at Michael Page.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of month-end accounts, ensuring compliance with the Group Internal Controls System (ICS), as well as managing weekly bank reconciliations and cash flow statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month-end accounts on SAP
• Compliance with Group Internal Controls System (ICS)
• Weekly bank reconciliations and cash flow statements
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliation
• Posting HR-prepared payroll journal
• Journal preparation and posting
• Reconciliation of inter-company balances
• Completing Group reporting templates
• Responsible for quarterly Tax recharges covering IT services
• Annual local statutory accounts preparation in line with Irish GAAP
• External reportingCentral Statistics Office
• Central Bank Returns
• VAT returns
• Liaise with external and internal auditors
• Ad hoc reporting requests as required to support group activity

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/CPA)
• Strong double entry book keeping skills
• Strong IFRS knowledge
• Excellent SAP (ECC or S4) experience
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• High level of commitment and self-motivation, ability to work independently
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Enthusiastic individual that is hard working and shows attention to detail
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to respond to the demands of such a pivotal role
• Ability to work on one's own initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
