Job Summary:

At TechnipFMC, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Software Engineering Manager to join our team. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and guiding a team of software engineers to develop high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Inspire and motivate the team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Technical Expertise: Apply your strong knowledge and expertise in Kotlin/Java, TypeScript, React, and AWS technologies to guide the team in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

Architecture and Design: Collaborate with software architects to define and evolve the technical architecture of applications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Performance and Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize code, and improve system efficiency.

Agile Development: Promote and facilitate agile software development practices, including continuous integration, automated testing, and iterative development.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve software development processes and implement best practices.

Resource Planning and Allocation: Collaborate with stakeholders to assess project requirements and allocate resources accordingly.

Risk Management: Proactively identify and manage risks that could impact project timelines, budgets, or quality.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the team's performance and the success of software development initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Team Lead/Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in software engineering, with expertise in Kotlin/Java, TypeScript, React, and AWS technologies.

Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading software engineering teams.

Extensive experience in software project management, including planning, execution, and delivery.

Deep understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and software architecture principles.

Proficiency in agile (Scrum) development practices and tools.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience in performance optimization, scalability, and security considerations.

Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
