Job Title: Technical Manager for Smart Camera Features

Job Summary:

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee the technical and managerial aspects of a Scrum team responsible for the implementation and maintenance of selected smart camera features and modules. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading people, proficient hands-on expertise in modern C++, and strong organizational, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the team's technical backlog by creating designs, implementations, and testing plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of talented engineers.
  • Develop people and the team through planning, coaching, challenging assignments, feedback, and support.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and assist employees in creating plans to address them.
  • Define standard metrics and utilize them to report the current status of ongoing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading people as a manager or technical lead.
  • Proficient hands-on expertise in modern C++ (ideally in embedded systems).
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities, identify risks/issues, formulate recommendations, and drive sound decisions that deliver results.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • English language proficiency that allows efficient communication.
  • Education at the college/university level in a technical field (Engineering / IT).
