About Sperasoft

Sperasoft is a leading game development studio, dedicated to creating immersive and engaging gaming experiences.

We are looking for a skilled Game Development Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our games and related systems, from monitoring and analysis to troubleshooting and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor game performance: Proactively monitor online games and related systems to ensure 24/7 service, using various tools for logs, metrics, and graphs.
  • Analyze and assess health and performance: Analyze data to identify issues and provide critical information to on-call personnel in a clear and concise manner.
  • Triage problems and troubleshoot: Conduct triage and troubleshooting meetings with game development personnel to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Consult and create process documentation: Consult and create process documentation to maintain accurate records and improve operational efficiency.
  • Deploy patches and builds: Carry out quick patch and build deployments, including post-deployment smoke testing to ensure seamless game experience.
  • Prepare reports and summaries: Prepare accurate and timely reports with updates and summaries on events and issues.

Requirements:

  • Technical support skills: Excellent technical support skills with focus on game servers and client crashes.
  • Knowledge of network technologies: Knowledge of network technologies and GNU/Linux OS.
  • Ability to perform tasks by established processes: Ability to perform tasks by both established processes as well as placeholder and temporarily agreed measures.
  • Availability to work in shifts: Availability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintaining strict punctuality and quick response: Maintaining strict punctuality and quick response.
  • Familiarity with common IT infrastructure: Familiarity with common IT infrastructure and its practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Monitoring/Analyst experience: Monitoring/Analyst experience (assessments based on data, graphs etc.).
  • Technical support experience in an online 24/7 service industry: Technical support experience in an online 24/7 service industry.
  • Experience working in games industry: Experience working in games industry, particularly multiplayer and MMO games.
  • Familiarity with game development terminology: Some familiarity with terminology and process for game development, QA, and release management.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately $55,000 - 65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
