Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Setapp. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of data engineering deliverables, working with data engineers and analysts to problem solve, build, and deliver data products from ideation to production.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Proven experience working in Data Engineering.
  • Proven experience working with Azure and Databricks Data Platform technology stacks, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Functions.
  • Proven experience of using data modeling techniques relevant in Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence contexts, such as Kimball and Data Vault.
  • Ability to create a strong relationship with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight delivery timescales and to take on new information working with a remote team.
  • Proven experience developing optimal and reliable ETL processes to ingest and process data from a wide variety of data sources, implementing them both for batch and real-time scenarios in cloud environments.
  • Proven experience of maintaining and supporting existing data solutions in Production environments, identifying improvement opportunities, investigating and resolving incidents, and monitoring to ensure SLAs are met.
